Producer Mickey Blue drops debut LP "A Long Time Coming" ft. Ill Bill, Copywrite, Lord Goat, M-Dot, Spit Gemz, Jay Royale, King Magnetic & more

The wait is finally over for producer Mickey Blue’s debut production album "A Long Time Coming." The album offers something new yet familiar to the Hip Hop genre as Mickey showcases his range of beat making while also enlisting some of the underground's top tier lyricists.

Songs range from grimey bangers like "Crime Ministers" featuring Dro Pesci, ILL BiLL, Jay Royale and cuts by Tone Spliff or "Bone Tomahawk - Extended Version" featuring Spit Gemz, Tito Fuerte, Sydetrak Imperial, Lord Goat and cuts by Tone Spliff, to more ominous records like "Maniacs'' featuring King Magnetic, Tito Fuerte, Big Dee and cuts by Tone Spliff and "Creep-Show" featuring Skrollz. Mickey didn’t forget to add some spice to the record though, with up-tempo joints like “Don’t Blink” featuring Copywrite, M-Dot and cuts once again handled by Tone Spliff or the video single “Twenty Ninety Four" featuring Big Dee.

On "A Long Time Coming" you will find obscure samples, bass-filled beats and razor sharp cuts, coupled with veteran wordsmiths providing a lyrical knock-out blow. Bobby J from Rockaway (@bobbyjrockaway) & Nef (@producedbynef) - "Radio Days" (Album)

Rockaway Beach, Queens native Bobby J From Rockaway & Brooklyn-by-way-of-New England producer extraordinaire, Nef, join forces to bring you their first collaborative project — "Radio Days.”

About The Album:
The album borrows its title from the classic Woody Allen movie of the same name, which was shot on location in Rockaway Beach - Bobby’s hometown. It harkens back to a time when people used to crowd around the radio, listening to music for the first time, hoping to hear a new song from their favorite artist. When programming was not yet monopolized by a chosen few, superficial barriers between mainstream and underground barely existed, and being a tastemaker actually meant something.

“Radio Days” boasts guest appearances from J57 (veteran producer and 1/3 of the rap trio Jamo Gang with Ras Kass & El Gant), Wais P (formerly of Brooklyn duo Da Ranjahz/Roc-A-Fella records), legendary Brooklyn spitter FT Street Smartz, Detroit rap veteran Hush, and Queens newcomer Michael Fiya. The 9-track project takes the listener on an audiovisual journey, drawing inspiration from the wide array of musical influences both Nef & Bobby grew up listening to. Together they’ve crafted a sonic experience that is equal parts vintage and contemporary, analog and digital, and old-school sensibilities meets new school execution.
